New Timewalking Schedule Starting Dec 2
The Bronze Dragonflight has once again detected significant disturbances in the timeways, where multiple timelines are rapidly intersecting with our own. This exciting development heralds the return of the Turbulent Timeways event, a limited-time Timewalking extravaganza that invites players to journey through World of Warcraft's rich history. Running from December 2 to February 3—spanning 10 consecutive weeks—this event begins and ends with the Shadowlands expansion, offering a grand tour of past eras through specially selected Timewalking dungeons. Whether you're a seasoned veteran looking to farm badges and transmogs, a collector chasing exclusive mounts, or an alt-leveling enthusiast eager for massive XP boosts, this guide breaks down everything you need to know to maximize your rewards.
Event Overview and Schedule
Turbulent Timeways transforms the standard Timewalking Bonus Event into a multi-week marathon, with a different expansion's dungeons rotating in each week. Enemies and loot in these dungeons automatically scale to your current level, providing Heroic-equivalent drops and reputation gains with the associated factions. You'll also enjoy a 50% bonus to reputation earned from quests and creature kills for reputations tied to that expansion, making it an ideal time to grind legacy reps.
To queue up, simply open the Group Finder (default hotkey: I), select Dungeon Finder under the Type dropdown menu, choose Timewalking, and hit Find Group. This will match you with other players and teleport you directly to one of the available Heroic-level dungeons. Each week resets on the daily reset (typically Tuesday/Wednesday depending on your region), so plan your runs accordingly.

Time to Buff Up: The Knowledge of the Timeways Mechanic
One of the standout features of Turbulent Timeways is the Knowledge of the Timeways buff, which players earn simply by running any Timewalking dungeon during the event. This buff provides a 5% increase to experience gained from killing monsters and completing quests. It stacks with each consecutive dungeon completion, and after four stacks, it evolves into Mastery of the Timeways, boosting XP by a massive 30%.
Key details about the buff:
It persists through death.
It is account-wide, so your alts benefit immediately—perfect for leveling multiple characters quickly.
Completing more dungeons refreshes and extends its duration, encouraging repeated runs.
This makes Turbulent Timeways an unparalleled opportunity for alt farmers. Combine it with Warband bonuses, heirlooms, and other XP sources to rocket from level 10 to 80 in record time. Pro tip: Queue early in the week when groups are popping fast to secure your stacks before reset.
Master the Timeways: Unlock Exclusive Mount Rewards
Bronze Gravewing Mount
The crown jewel of this event is the Master of the Turbulent Timeways IV achievement, awarded to players who maintain Mastery of the Timeways (the 30% XP buff) for any five weeks during the 10-week period. Upon earning it, you'll receive Ta’readon’s Mount Voucher, which starts a quest leading to Overseer Ta’readon in the Hall of Curiosities.
There, you can claim one free Shadowlands mount from these stunning bronze-tinted options:
Bronze Wilderling
Bronze Corpsefly
Bronze Gravewing
Bronze Aquilon
Important: Covenant restrictions have been lifted, so you can choose and ride any of these regardless of your Shadowlands faction allegiance. The remaining three mounts become available for purchase from the Timewalking vendor using Timewarped Badges.
Previous Turbulent Timeways rewards, like the Chrono Corsair, are also available any week from Timewalking vendors for 5,000 Timewarped Badges each. Other legacy mounts such as Crimson Lupine and Snowpaw Glimmerfur Prowler join the lineup at the same price.
Upgraded Weekly Rewards and New Vendor
During the event, the standard Timewalking weekly quest (available from the quest giver in Dornogal or Main City) offers a substantial upgrade: a Heroic-level Cache of Kareshi Treasures containing gear at item level 694. This is exclusive to Turbulent Timeways and replaces the normal rewards—don't miss it each week!
Head to Collector Ta’steld, the new Shadowlands vendor located in the Ring of Fates inside Oribos, just outside the Hall of Curiosities. Here, you can spend your hard-earned Timewarped Badges on a treasure trove of cosmetics, including detailed armor and weapon transmogs themed around Shadowlands factions (Kyrian, Venthyr, Necrolord, Night Fae).

Tips for Success and Final Thoughts
To get the most out of Turbulent Timeways:
Prioritize weekly quests for that 694 ilvl gear cache—it's a huge boost for alts or fresh 80s.
Farm badges efficiently: Each dungeon drop scales with completion, and reps get a 50% bonus.
Level alts aggressively: The account-wide 30% XP buff stacks with everything—aim for 5+ weeks of Mastery for the achievement.
Group up: Use premades for faster queues, especially on tougher weeks like Legion or Shadowlands.
Collect transmogs: Badges pour in, so snag those Shadowlands-themed sets while they're fresh.
Mark your calendars, rally your friends, and prepare for turbulent adventures through Azeroth's past. This 10-week epic is your chance to snag free mounts, gear up, level fast, and relive WoW's golden eras. See you in the queues!
